Wolfgang Knotz is Group CTO of Durst Group and Managing Director of Durst Austria GmbH, where he has been shaping the company's technological direction for over a decade. In his role as Group CTO, he is responsible for defining and executing Durst's global technology and innovation strategy — spanning engineering, software, and AI — with a focus on scalable platform architectures, agile delivery, and strategic partnerships with leading technology companies and research institutions.

A mechanical engineer by training, Wolfgang holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering & Economics from Graz University of Technology and brings over 25 years of experience in product development, manufacturing, and executive leadership. He joined Durst in 2013 and has since held progressive leadership roles, including Head of Technical Development and, since 2022, Managing Director of the Lienz site in a dual role.

Prior to Durst, he gained international engineering experience at Siemens Mobility and Andritz AG, where he led development projects
